How It Gets Priced

Industrial concrete is priced by section, thickness, and reinforcement, not by a single square-foot number, because a dock apron carrying landing gear loads is a different slab than a car park. Subgrade repair, trench drain, and drainage tie-ins are itemized separately so you can see exactly what the ground under the slab is costing you. Where a structural engineer has specified a slab section, we build to that specification and price it as drawn.

  • Can you pour while the building stays operational?

    Yes. We take one section at a time and agree in advance which dock doors and lanes are out of service on which days, so freight keeps moving to the doors still open.

  • How thick should a truck court slab be?

    It depends on the loads, the subgrade, and the traffic frequency, and it is usually meaningfully thicker and more heavily reinforced than a parking area. Where loads warrant it, the slab section should come from an engineer. We build to that section and will tell you when we think a scope needs engineering rather than guessing at it.

  • Do you install trench drains and channel drains?

    Yes — trench drain, catch basins, and the tie-in to the existing storm system, set to grade so the yard actually drains instead of holding water at the low spot.

  • Can you pour equipment and tank pads?

    Yes. Equipment pads, generator pads, tank pads, and bollards, poured to the anchor layout and embed drawings supplied by the equipment vendor.

  • How long before trucks can use a new dock apron?

    Loaded trailer traffic should wait for the slab to reach the strength the section was designed for — commonly around 28 days, and sooner only where the mix and testing support it. We put the return-to-service date in the schedule up front.

  • Do you work nights or weekends?

    Yes, where the schedule and lighting allow it. If pouring outside normal hours protects your operation, we price it that way and say so in the proposal.
